It does not play any rhythms, just some weird character show up when I select any kind of Rhythm.

This app will not play any rhythms, despite what is claimed. It will display only the notation for them. no sound. It is not even obvious how one might listen to the recorded sounds. The drum plays, but I bought the app to learn the rhythms. Ipad 2 with iOS 6.
